After months of open debate, a record-breaking on-chain vote, and a security audit that left no line of code unchecked, we’re thrilled to announce that the DOP v1 → v2 migration window is now live. From today until September 26th (23:59 UTC) you can burn your old DOP and claim the upgraded, adaptive-vesting DOP v2 – complete with the permanent burn of 30% of the team’s allocation, adaptive price-linked vesting, and all community-approved tokenomics changes.

 

What this migration means

If you’ve followed our debate and the vote, you already know the highlights:

1. Everyone can swap old DOP tokens on a 1-for-1 basis to get DOP-v2
2. Adaptive supply. Unlocks now track price performance—0% to 5% per 30-day cycle.
3. 30% team burn. We’re destroying nearly one-third of the team’s allocation, cutting total supply and proving long-term commitment.
4. Fresh token contract. Gas-optimised, audit-verified, and future-proof for new features like Selective Transparency upgrades.

How to migrate in 7 quick steps

1. Go to fork.dop.org / migration.dop.org

2. Connect your wallet
After opening the migration page, click CONNECT WALLET. Choose MetaMask, WalletConnect, or OKX Wallet.

 

3. Accept the terms
A “Terms & Conditions” modal appears. Read and tap ACCEPT TERMS.

 

4. Enter the amount
Your v1 balance auto-loads. Hit MAX or type a smaller amount in YOU BURN.

 

5. Approve v1 tokens spending (first-time only)
Click APPROVE and sign the transaction. Wait for the green TOKENS APPROVED notification.

 

6. Swap
Press SWAP, confirm in your wallet, and let the chain do its work. A success pop-up shows your new v2 balance and an Etherscan link.

 

7. Wait
Check your wallet address on Etherscan. You won’t see transferable v2 tokens until claims start on 27th September, but you will be able to view the transaction on the block explorer and in your Migration History.

Troubleshooting

• – I received the error “Unable to process migration with this wallet.”
  OFAC-sanctioned countries or specific addresses that were flagged for compliance issues can’t participate in DOP migration.
  If you think the error was displayed to you by mistake, try refreshing, switching networks back to Ethereum, or using another wallet.
  
• – Not enough funds for gas fees:
  You’ll need a small amount of ETH for both the approve and swap transactions.

 

FAQ

1. How long is the migration window?
   The window stays open until September 26th at 23:59 UTC – enough time for every holder to migrate.
2. Do I need ETH for gas fees?
   Yes. You’ll pay a small amount of ETH for the Approve and Swap transactions.
3. What if I still have tokens in staking?
   Unstake at least seven days before the window closes, claim the tokens to your wallet, and then perform the swap.
4. Will exchanges (e.g., Bybit) auto-convert v1 to v2?
   No. You must withdraw your DOP to a self-custody wallet and migrate manually.
5. What happens if I do nothing?
   After the window closes, v1 tokens lose all protocol utility—no burns, no staking, no future dApp support.
6. Why is my v2 balance zero after swapping?
   The tokens you mint are locked in the vesting contract until Cycle 0 starts on 27 September. They’ll begin streaming to your wallet block-by-block from that date.
7. Is the swap ratio fixed at 1:1?
   Yes—one old DOP burns for one DOP-v2.
8. Can I migrate from a new wallet if I transfer v1 tokens there?
   Yes. Migration is tied to the wallet that holds the tokens when you call the contract.
9. If I bought 100k tokens in the private sale, and migrated all my tokens, will only 0.5% unlock in cycle 0?
   Correct. In Cycle 0, only 0.5% of whatever amount you migrate unlocks—regardless of where or when you bought.
10. Will v2 launch at $0.08 on CEXs and DEXs?
    DOP Core contributors will make the best efforts to keep the price around that of the final private sale levels during cycle 0.
