Do you want to get reliable, real-world information onto the blockchain, but you don’t know how? DOP Oracles is the tool for you.
With Data Requests, you can tap into the collective knowledge of verified Oracles, and bring Web2 data into the Web3 world.
In a nutshell:
It’s that simple! You can then use the on-chain data in your own dApp or smart contract, if you want.
Data Requests are perfect for:
Whether you’re a developer needing reliable data for your smart contract or a business seeking verified information, Data Requests have you covered.
When you submit a question, you’ll need to provide:
The system then calculates:
You can always increase the reward or number of Oracles if you want extra certainty.
Once your request is live, Oracles receive notification about it on the website, in their email inboxes and soon in the ROY Wallet App. They research and submit their answers. The majority response becomes the official answer, recorded on the blockchain for transparency and future use.
Rewards are automatically distributed to participating Oracles, incentivizing accurate responses.
Data Requests bridge the gap between Web2 and Web3. They provide a decentralized, transparent way to bring real-world data onto the blockchain. This opens up new possibilities for smart contracts, dApps, and blockchain-based decision-making.
We invite you to try out a Data Request on DOP Oracles and experience the future of decentralized information gathering.
Who can use Data Requests?
Anyone can use Data Requests, but they’re particularly useful for developers, businesses, and researchers who need verified real-world data for their blockchain applications or smart contracts.
How are Oracles selected to answer Data Requests?
Oracles are randomly selected to ensure fairness and prevent bias in the answers provided.
What’s the minimum cost for a Data Request?
The minimum reward per Oracle is $3. The total cost depends on the number of Oracles involved and the value of the information requested. The minimum number of Oracles is determined based on 0.01% of the transaction value (e.g., if getting the answer to your question is worth $1000, the minimum number of Oracles will be 10). There’s also an additional platform fee of 0.25% of the transaction value.
How long does it take to get an answer to a Data Request?
Specifying the timeline for responses is part of the data request creation process. In other words, you decide when you’d like to get the answer to your request. That said, be sure to allow Oracles enough time to gather the information for you and provide the answer to your request.
