Over the past few weeks, we’ve been engaged in discussions about the future of DOP’s tokenomics. Following those community discussions, a proposal was put up for a DAO vote a week ago to address ways to enhance the token’s long-term stability and overall ecosystem health.

 

This proposal, centered around transitioning to DOP-v2, aims to refine our token structure and provide better alignment for long-term participants. The DAO vote has now concluded, and the community has approved the transition to DOP-v2 with an overwhelming majority.

Thank you to everyone who participated. This post outlines the next steps, timeline, and what this means for holders, exchanges, and dApps.

 

The Vote Results: 

With the vote concluded, we are moving forward with the transition to DOP-v2, as decided by the community.

 

Key Dates and Milestones

Here’s the timeline for the transition to DOP-v2:

• 19 May → 26 May 10:00 UTC 2025: DAO vote on Fork Proposal.
• 15 Jun 2025: Migration window opens (burn-to-swap live).
• 14 Aug 2025 23:59 UTC: Migration window closes.
• 15 Aug 2025: TGE, Uniswap pool launch, unified vesting clock starts.
• Aug 2025: Liquidity support maintained for 30 days. The team will strive to keep the price within the range of the last private sale prices during the initial cycle.

 

Deployment and Audit of DOP-v2

We are working on deploying DOP-v2 securely. An audit is underway to ensure the new token contract is sound.

The Conversion Window: 15 Jun – 14 Aug 2025

The conversion window to swap old DOP for DOP-v2 is from June 15, 2025 to August 14, 2025 23:59 UTC. You’ll burn old DOP tokens on a 1-for-1 basis to get DOP-v2. The bridge closes at the deadline, so make sure to swap within this time.

 

Enhanced Tokenomics: For Long-Term Development

DOP-v2 comes with a new tokenomics model, featuring:

• 30-Day Vesting Cycles: Each cycle is exactly 30 days (approx. 65,553 Ethereum blocks).
• Price-Linked Vesting (24-48 Cycles): Vesting over 24-48 cycles (around 2 to 4 years) depending on the token’s price.
• Linear Vesting (6-12 Cycles): After reaching a point (18 or 36 cycles, based on price), the remaining tokens will release linearly over 6-12 cycles.
• Adaptive Formula: The contract calculates the 30-day average Uniswap price at 00:00 UTC and adjusts the next cycle’s unlock rate (0.5% to 5% per cycle).

This structure aims to better support long-term holding and the project’s growth.

 

 

What Stays the Same

Some things won’t change:

• Blockchain: DOP-v2 will stay on the current blockchain (Ethereum).
• Selective Transparency: Access to Selective Transparency will continue.

What You Need To Do

 

For Holders:

1. Note the conversion window: 15 Jun – 14 Aug 2025 23:59 UTC. Be ready to swap DOP for DOP-v2.
2. Unstake now: If you have tokens staked, unstake now. There’s a 7-day unbonding period, and rewards will accrue and be claimable after 90 days. You can withdraw tokens before the migration window.
3. Keep an eye out: Stay updated through official channels and our community spaces.

 

For Developers:

1. Prepare for integration: You may need to update your integrations for DOP-v2. We’ll provide documentation.
2. Selective Transparency: Selective Transparency will move to DOP-v2.

 

For Liquidity Providers:

1. Watch the transition: Understand the timing and how it affects your liquidity positions.
2. New pool: A new Uniswap pool will launch on August 15, 2025.
